OUR PETS |

On this page I will post pictures of our pets. We currently have 2 dogs, 4 cats and 2 birds. Hank is an 11 year old, very energetic, Catahoula Leopard Hound . He is a great dog and really found his home when he got to Florida. He has a small farm to roam and lots of other animals that he tries to boss around. It's amazing to watch him around the farm animals where his natural herding instincts kick in and he tries to gather all of them together. He really loves it here. Abner is a feisty alpha male
Yorkshire Terrier. He has asserted himself as the "leader of the pack"
in the house. Even though he acts like he wants to eat the larger dog, Hank,
he often learns just how small he is when Hank gets tired of his antics.
Abner has a softer side as well. He loves to sit in my lap while I'm
watching TV (not very often) and his favorite sleeping spot is in my bed,
right up against my chest. He is not as enthusiastic about roaming the farm
as Hank preferring to hang close to the house or shop depending on where I
am. The other very unusual thing about Abner is he will eat ANYTHING!

We have 2 birds. The big green bird is a Yellow Napped Amazon and his name is Bo (Bocephus) Bo is very talkative and often must be covered to just to quiet him down. His favorite phrase is "oh my god". The smaller, more colorful, bird is Tequila. She talks, but not as much as Bo. Her peculiarity is sleeping under a blanket in a box. She will sometimes lay eggs and it is a "JOY" trying to get them from her. |

We currently have 4 cats. 2 indoor and 2 outdoor, or more accurately, shop cats. The all white cat is Sugar. She is a very affectionate low maintenance cat. Even though she is an inside cat, she will escape to the outdoors if given the chance. When she gets out she is only gone for a little while then she is back at the door scratching to get in. The black and white cat is George. George likes to stay to himself most of the time. He has a peculiar personality but is fun to watch. |

The next 2 cats are my shop cats. The live, primarily, in and around the warehouse.
The do a great job of keeping the mice, bats and anything else that moves at
night under control. Both are hunters, but the gold cat, Oliver, is the closest
thing to a wild cat you will ever see. He is not very friendly, although he has
been making friendly overtures towards me of late. Sheba, the black cat, is very
friendly and also spends her nights hunting and days sleeping. She is a jumper
and I've even found her on TOP of our shop roll up doors about 24 feet in the
air. I have no idea how she gets up there or down. I keep checking her for
wings. |
