My, My, My, where has the week gone.  Like usual one of those busy weeks that kinda keep us going.  Seems like all we do is gym, home, football practice, home, eat, a little TV, and sleep.  The days just aren't long enough - plus with the heat being so intent when we are home we stay inside 99% of the time so that gives us very little outside activity except for football practice.

Football seems to be improving, we have our first scrimmage game Friday night - can't wait.  We'll either be very pleased or slightly disappointed.  Regardless as long as the boys give it their best that's all we can ask for.  Saturday is team pictures and the game jerseys have not come in yet - sure don't know how we'll handle this one.  I understand they were ordered months ago guess someone from the manufacturing end dropped the ball and Saturday is quickly approaching. Uh maybe uniforms, helmets, & dress shirts!!  I don't think so - someone with half a brain will figure something out - I hope.

We actually haven't had much rain, it seems to wait until football practice to pour for a short time, get the field nice & muddy, bring on more humdity then we already have, then stop and get sunny again.  Hopefully this will end soon - or at least some of us hope it will. Yesterday evening it did seem to cool down a little after the rain but I'd sure hate to be a parent and have to clean the "white" practice pants the players have on.  See, sometimes it is nice to be a little older and have no youngsters (of your own) playing in the mud:):)

Well, I think I'll stop & make some lunch.  Laundry is about ready to go in the dryer so I have some work cut-out for me.  I promise to blog again tomorrow.

Good morning guys - just a brief note before the day starts for us.  Patrick is on the computer looking for a "Zero Turn" mower for the lawn and naturally I'm blogging.  However, I imagine a 60" cut would reduce the time it takes to cut the lawn:)  Today is suppose to be hot as usual with possibly some record breaking temperatures around us and of course some rain.  I'm thankful for the rain but man does it make the grass grow more then normal. The area that we have worked with the tractor on two different occasions for the winter garden is already starting to sprout grass does that give you an idea of how much rain (even though it is periodically) we've had?  Come on FALL, cuts back on the lawn cutting & allows us to go outside some especially afternoon & evenings.

Really nothing new around here, same s _ _ t different day.  We have a few errands to run early today then probably home for TV & pool.  I think our pool games were left tied last night - Pat won two & I won two looks like we'll determine the tie-breaker today.  Laundry is caught up so relaxation sounds good (real good) to me.  Back to the gym tomorrow which I look forward to.  Last week I was out of it with earache and blah feeling so this week I need to "turn it on" and get busy with my trainer and the new equipment that the gym has added.

Yep you guessed it - hot as usual and boy do I mean hot.  Patrick is a dare devil on the tractor cutting grass - we usually wait until evening when it's cooler but I think he worked on my mower & wanted to make certain it was okay.  I've already showered for the day so I don't want to go out and get "funky" before we head out for the day. 

Football practice was pretty good last night other then the rain and boy did it rain.  Once the lightening started the team headed for the overhang and waited until it stopped before they continued their regular practice.  You're so limited with what you can do in such a small area but they managed.  Two days off and I'm glad - time I can spend with my sweetie:0)

Well, I think I'll close & see if I can get him off the tractor.  I'll blog again later.  Have a super weekend - stay inside - stay cool - and enjoy your family.

Don't know why but I hate Friday the 13th - any month, any year, they seem to be the worst days.  You know what, even our weather agrees with me, it's been pretty crappy out all day.  On and off rain/sunshine/cloudy - nothing seems to be right today.  Oh well only a few hours until the day is over thank God.  We've actually had a pretty quiet day, grocery shopping, then off to visit a friend, then home to enjoy the AC before we go out tonight for Football Practice.  The "feels like" temperature is 102 degrees but when the sun is in and the clouds are out it doesn't feel that bad.  Come on Fall we're waiting for you.

No special plans this weekend I think this is the last free weekend before pictures for the team and our Jamboree game at the field.  Practice has been going pretty good and the guys seem to thoroughly enjoy it.  We are definately seeing progress but there is also a lot of work to be done.  I'm kinda glad I have the chair on the sideline, one of my magazines & friends to socialize with at least it's a distraction when the boys are having a rough time.  Unfortunately the last couple of practices we have had rain storms so that makes for a miserable hour or so and need I say when the storm is over the "heat is on" far worse then before the rain and humidity came about.  Oh well we can handle another month or so of this then the weather will start to cool down & the tolerance level for being outside will increase.  I have promised to take Abner once it cools off a little, can you see that little monster with all those kids???

Well, I only have a little more then an hour before we leave so I guess I should close and try to relax a bit.  Have a super weekend - I'll blog again tomorrow.

Yep, Tuesday already boy the week is passing us by.  Just about ready to jump in the shower so I can get ready for football practice.  Seems like the days are far to short to accomplish everything we like in a day.  Practice is now 2 hours a night so by the time we drive there and home it's close to 9:00 PM before we get home so I prefer to be ready to crawl in the bed when we get home.  Team looks pretty good I think everyone is seeing improvement.  We just added two new boys last night so now I think we're up to 25 players.  Considering the majority of them are new guys I don't think the coaches can really complain.  Our first scrimmage is in two weeks should be interesting.

Pat is at the warehouse doing what I have no idea so I think I should close & start getting ready for our 5:00PM departure.  Promise to blog again tomorrow.

Well, it's thundering & raining however we did get all of the grass cut.  Pat's in the shower & I need to rack the balls so we can shoot some pool.  Have a great evening and get ready for a super week starting tomorrow.

Wahooo weigh-in is over, coaches meeting is over and it's finally a day for us.  Of all days to rain, it was yesterday during the weigh-in so need I say 98% of us spent the day under an overhang or out in the rain waiting for the teams to move into the building and the players get fit.  Anyway, weigh-in is over for the season, most of our Sonny BBQ tickets have been handed out to the kids and hopefully they are pushing the sale of the tickets today to friends, family members, and people at the stores their families frequent.

No special plans for today, we really need to cut the lawn but it has been raining on & off since yesterday and to continue today, so I don't know whether we'll get it cut today or not.  I do know that it's cooler then days in the past (I guess because of the rain) so if the sun peeks through and dries the grass a little we should be able to get some cut today.  I'm so thankful for a day that it isn't sweltering hot outside come on FALL we're waiting for you.

Well, I think I'll close & get dressed for the day.  Morning chores have been completed, birds fed, cats fed, all the necessary functions for the day so I'll get myself ready to an exciting day:):)

Good Morning guys just a brief note before I shower & get ready for the football activities today.  Believe it or not, but it's not as hot as usual and it is a little overcast so being outside with the team this afternoon shouldn't be to bad (hopefully).  I have the Sonny BBQ tickets to distribute to the parents for the Leagues Fund Raiser - I only have about 12 parents to see since I got some of my tickets distributed during conditioning on Thursday soooo it shouldn't be bad for me.  I know Pat & the other coaches have the weigh-in for our team, uniform distribution, then I think they help with the following team and we're finished.  I think the guys have lunch in mind so they can discuss plans for the upcoming month or two.  Regardless it will be inside where it's cool.

Nothing new around the house same old stuff different day.  Abner has adjusted fine to Hank not being around.  As most of you know he's a fiesty little guy who thinks he's a K-9 dog.

Yea, Friday has arrived and most of our usual Friday activities are over.  No gym on Friday but plenty of chores to do.  Started the morning at the grocery store, cleaning lady finished her work, went to the drug store for a few things, stopped by to chat with a friend, by the post office, then finally home about an hour ago for the afternoon.  Pat's waiting for Coach Jimmy to stop by, and I think I'm going to relax in front of the TV for an hour or so & maybe even take a nap.

Even though we skip the gym on Friday we get plenty of activity.  Heck, I think I work harder doing the chores then I do working-out at the gym.  Weather has been on & off today, we even had a little rain which I can't believe.  Not enough to make a difference in the heat of the day only enough to make it more humid then usual.  All we can say is come on "FALL" we've waiting anxiously for you.

No special plans for tonight, we have football weigh-in and uniform distribution tomorrow afternoon then I think we're all going out to lunch & naturally to talk the football talk.  Umm maybe I should take along a magazine to read - nah, I actually would rather listen to what they have to say and try to learn something from them.  I surely miss my normal mind and the things I could do before but I do manage to adjust to the best of my ability.  Thanks to Pat he explains things over and over and after a while I pick up a thing here or there.

Well, I'm doing a load of laundry which I need to check on so I'll close & get it done so I can take a brief nap.  Promise to blog tomorrow.  Have a super beginning to a fantastic weekend.  Stay cool, stay safe, and enjoy yourself.

Only a second just wanted you guys to know that all are fine here.  We're ready to head to the football field for "conditioning" then off Saturday for uniforms, etc.  Yep, the season is getting close.  It's wonderful watching the young boys (or should I say young men) make great progress.  Yep, they require a lot of work from their wonderful coaches but they are "worth it".

Need to sign off so I can get ready to run out the door.  Promise to blog tomorrow - stay inside, stay cool & get ready for the weekend it's around the corner.
