Happy Mother's Day

May 9, 2010 00:31 by pphipps

SPECIAL THOUGHTS ARE WITH MY MOM & PAT'S MOM TODAY, WE MISS AND LOVE YOU BOTH AND CERTAINLY WISH YOU WERE HERE SO WE COULD CELEBRATE WITH YOU.  AS YOU LOOK DOWN ON US KNOW THAT WE LOVE & MISS YOU BOTH.  THIS IS YOUR DAY - YOU'RE MOMS THAT CAN NEVER BE REPLACED OR FORGOTTEN.

What a beautiful day for one of the most important days of the year all I can say is HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR FAMILY & FRIENDS.  Sure hope you're having the beautiful weather that we're having.  I have a dozen of beautiful multi colored roses from my sweetie and a package that should arrive by Tuesday from Tommy what more could I ask for?  Looks like my mother's day celebration will continue until Tuesday!!

We've already checked the garden this morning and after fertilizing yesterday it is prettier then ever.  Patrick thinks we'll have squash by our cook-out time the last part of this month - I sure hope so.  No tomatoes yet but we do have blooms and also small tiny tiny red peppers - I think the garden is a go or at least so far it is.  We're already talking about getting a tiller for the back of the tractor so we can do a larger garden next season.  Pat's been watching Craigs List for one I know he'll find it although it may be the end of the growing season before one shows up.  Time doesn't really matter I think we've planted the bulk of what our plans are for this year.  Dad would like us to plant some green beans but it's now to late so I guess that will be in line for next season.  If the tomatoes take off I think we'll be giving them away at the fence; the plants are so tall that they are already standing above the metal supports that they go inside of.  Boy does Patrick have a green thumb.

No real special plans for the day, Pat plans on cooking a Delmonico steak for us (like the ones we're having for the racquetball cook-out)  his new grill is a challenge and he wants to try a few different things before we actually have the cook-out.  Honestly when he put the steak on the plate the other evening it was so large and thick that it looked like a small roast surrounded by fresh grilled vegetables, and grilled baked potatoes.  Ummm wonder what his plans are for tonights Mother's Day dinner?

Well, I think it's time to check on Patrick & the dogs.  Know that we love & miss everyone.  HAVE A SUPER MOTHER'S DAY:)

Love,

Patty & Pat
