Well guys it's already Sunday and thank God for an extra day off tomorrow. Sure hope everyone has had a picture perfect Memorial Day Weekend. Ours has been nice but with the fundraiser/BBQ yesterday it has been a little "wearing" on the good ole bones. No special plans for us, Pat's cooking a couple of those gorgeous Delmonico Steaks today and we have some of the fresh squash out of our garden in the seasoning getting even tastier:) Aside from cooking out we really have no special plans - other then rest & relax from the BBQ yesterday.
When I logged on it was 72 degrees with 82% humidity -does that tell you anything? It's not to hot, but the humidity level is up from the rain we had yesterday. They are also calling for rain this afternoon early evening but that is typical June for us and with our luck it came a little early this year. The nicest thing about living in FL is fifteen minutes after it has rained you can hardly tell we had anything (except for the lovely humidity). So we have a couple of months of short rain bursts in the afternoon then it's practically over for the remainder of the year. However, the way the weather has been all around the country one never knows what we're in store for.
Our garden is doing wonderful. We have lots of tomatoes on the vines, squash ready to pull again and some still in the refrigerator from the last pulling. The long cubanella peppers will soon be ready to pull and the red peppers are getting bigger but not red yet. We can't wait for the tomatoes my Dad is craving a tomatoe & mayo sandwich:) Ummm that sounds good. I must admit Pat spends most of the time in the garden, by the time I get Dad taken care of and the household tasks accomplished he's finished. Soooooo we have to thank him for the garden goodness:):):) I imagine Franny has one heck of a garden started -right???? We're still waiting for the delivery of our fresh veges like we use to get in Bowie!!
There is a guy coming up from South to look at our old BBQ grill that Pat put on Craigs List, then we're off on a couple of errands. I promise to blog later - have a super Memorial Day Sunday. We love & miss everyone.
